Hola!

Hola! I'm back from Leadership Journey with my colleagues in Spain. Many of them I've been working with in the past 7 months without meeting them in person. So this is very exciting to me. and they are all niiiiiice people!

The weather during the time was very nice - sunny in 25-29C. Sun up before 6am (not sure exactly when becuz I wasn't able to catch the sunrise in the morning :P) and sunset around 9:30 PM. I've been outside (mainly) walking the entire time that the sun was up...imagine how tanned I would get right now :).

Madrid and Barcelona are so different. Each is charming in its own way. Madrid is an older city...not as well plotted as Barcelona. Things are a bit more expensive in BCN, for example Metro ticket 1 ride is 1Euro in Madrid but 1.24Euro in BCN. Anyway, Metro in BCN seemed to be more well planned...more convenient in terms of the location of stations.

Enough said... here are a few of pictures from this trip...I was out of memory card space so I only got around 800 pictures...hmm have to plan better next time!

The closest metro (subway) station to my hotel

Plaza Mayor
Gran Via
Real Madrid stadium
Kio Towers
Side entrance to Retiro Park (opposite to Museo de Prado)

Avila historic town

Segovia
Casa Milla & Casa Battlo, Barcelona

Sagrada Familia - yes it's still under construction. Expect to complete in the next 25 years. The guide told us to come visit again.
Parc Guell

Barcelona Colon
Port Vell
Street performer behind the Cathedral. There were several of street performers but this is my favorite.

Disturbing 28 weeks...

It's been quite a while that I managed to stay away from any disturbing movie, you know -- I mean all those famous Asian ghost movies, psychopath movies, any movies that cause additional stress to the already stressful real life.

For some reason, I chose to watch "28 weeks later" in hope that it won't be too bad too take.

Totally WRONG!

Since the very first few minutes, there was blood all over the screen, couple with very high pitch background music, switching of dark and very bright flash of light and the unnecessary detail of cruel killing.... My migrane came back...I had my Peppermint Field Gel handy.

I managed to stay till the end of the movie.

...there's one of my friend. She had "Panic Attack" -- meaning even a slight incident of loud noise...or just a tendency of someone in the movie being kill (no violent scene showing) -- she will break out crying and need to get out of the theater because she couldn't breathe! I don't remember what was the movie I saw with her that I had to accompany her to get some air. I only remember that it was just a PG13 movie. Well, I don't blame her... I think we have the right to watch a movie of our choice...anything entertaining in our way. Right??

Can't wait to see Shrek the Third. My favorite is the donkey, the voicing of Eddie Murphey :)

Ghost!

Yesterday I went for lunch with friend as usual... afterwards I took a walk...passing by the bookstore... then BAMM.. a familiar face standing inside the bookstore holding a magazine.

From a quick glance, nothing much change except the darker and (more) uneven colored skin. The posture is never change- stand arrogantly with chin up--that's what caught my eye. The best of all --- still wearing the same shirt since 2000!!!

Didn't get a chance to stop and say hi as we are in a hurry to another building. Just can't help wondering sometimes the past that we thought was far away...faded away... and gone...sometimes it just came back to haunt you at work!

very funny, huh?

Don-Whaai market

Love all, trust a few. Do wrong to none.
- William Shakespeare

The other day I went outdoor market shopping after paying respect to the Buddha , did some tam-boon @ Wat RaiKhing.

Just realize the temple is so close to my house, about the same distance to my office -- yes, my daily commute to work minus city traffic jam...so it was a very nice drive on a nice day.

Shooter

*Nothing lasts forever--not even your troubles.*

A good friend of mine ask if I'd like to see a movie with him...
a Mark Wahlberg movie --> Shooter

Of course yesss

Most people know Mark as an action-movie actor... I first knew him as 'Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch' haaah not familiar to u I bet!
I'm very certain Marky began his music career before movie. When I hear Mark Wahlberg, the picture I see is a muscular-honk guy with six packs ab, wearing low-rised oversized blue jeans with Calvin Klein boxer short... and no shirt on :P~ (droooool..)

I didn't like Marky that much back then when he's in his 20's...but, in his mid 30's (36 this year), he's much more attractive as he seems to be more calm and grown-up.

ATV

Helloooo

This is Luge

Luge track -- we going on the downhill slope and come back up with that hanging swing.

Group pix of us

We already did ride ATV but not at all satisfied...so we went for a lunch break at ChokeChai Farm and to think about what to do/where to go next

I proposed to go for another round of ATV...

the track at Farm ChokeChai is no longer good (became too easy)..

so we went to Greenery resort.
Available activities at Greenery:
- Zorb ball
- ATV adventure track, off-road (4x4) track
- Archery
- Nano Bike
- Rock Climbing
- more

We had Q&A about ATV and the adventure track.
We did ride the 150cc ones... the smallest here.
Next time we'll take the 300cc 4x4 and go off-road!

Well... they did not allow taking photo in the track...and besides how can we take photo while riding the ATV... so just imagine us on those 150cc smudging through red & muddy track.. nothing else but a lot of fun!

We will bring clothes for change next time and we can go more adventurous than this time.

Nano bike
Tukta's favorite :P

..and this is me at home after splitting with all friends and dropped Belle home.
No more energy left!

Oops
who's this...ใครเนี่ย..ชอบใส่เสื้อสีเดียวกะเราเรย...

Here's a bonus.

It has absolutely nothing to do with ATV or anything I blogged above :P
Just a short cute clip from Tui and Pas AF.

3 weeks after...

... as promised

...continue about my days after becoming a Kamen Rider... ummm.. after LASIK surgery

It's been 3 weeks from the operation day, my vision recover very quickly after the first night...then gradually improve everyday... it is now 99.9%... still some dry eyes early in the morning and during the day if long hours in front of computer.

It's been about 10 years with contact lens... nowadays I'm still not familiar with waking up with perfectly clear vision... after long days, sometimes I felt like "shall I replace (the c-lens I'm wearing) with a new pair?"... I went straight to wash my hand, then realize I no longer wear anything on my eyes -- it's my own bare eyes!! how exciting!

I'm sure if you are having some near-sightness, you'll understand how exciting I'm talking about. Too bad.... for those with naturally perfect eye sight, you will never understand what I'm talking about here.. Lucky You --Take good care of your eyes.

I can't stand to fly

I'm not that naive
I'm just out to find the better part of me
I'm more than a bird...I'm more than a plane
More than some pretty face beside a train
It's not easy to be me

I Wish that I could cry
Fall upon my knees
Find a way to lie
About a home I'll never see
It may sound absurd...but don't be naive

Even Heroes have the right to bleed
I may be disturbed...but won't you concede
Even Heroes have the right to dream
It's not easy to be me Up, up and away...away from me
It's all right...You can all sleep sound tonight
I'm not crazy...or anything'

I can't stand to fly
I'm not that naive
Men weren't meant to ride with clouds between their knees
I'm only a man in a silly red sheet
Digging for kryptonite on this one way street
Only a man in a funny red sheet
Looking for special things inside of me

It's not easy to be me.

Bye bye 7610

Soon I'll have to part with Nokia 7610 simply because it won't make much sense to have 3 phones for 2 numbers. So I'll keep my M700 and N70 and let go of the 7610.

I don't need 2 mobile numbers but the company gave me one becuz my job is a "travelling job"

...yes and it comes with Nokia N70 -- one of the very high-end smart phone from Nokia. very cool, right :)

Nokia N70 in Silver Stainless/Black color and Nokia 7610 in White.

~~~~~~~~~~
Still have bad 'tennis elbow' since earlier this year. It makes me feel like a princess :P because the elbow hurt so much that I cannot really do anything...even easy thing like watering plants in the garden. I lose gripping power so I cannot even twist open a water bottle. very sad right? anyway...I'm hoping it'll get better soon... in the meantime, I'm practicing using the left hand/arm :)
