Bastian Schweinsteiger scored two second-half goals for Germany claiming third place at the 2006 FIFA World Cup™ by beating Portugal 3-1 in Stuttgart on Saturday, 8 July 2006.Ballack didn't play this match due to knee injury. All other squads got to attend the Worlcup in this match (except HILDEBRAND Timo -- 3rd Goal Keeper). Everyone did a GREAT job - it was an awesome game. Really worth not sleeping to watch! :)
Germany finished the tournament with total 14 goals to their name - three more than any other team with just Sunday's Final to play.

It was a great match, wasn't it! Four goals and lots of scoring chances, but I wonder if Germany had won the bronze medal if they had played in another country. The crowd in Germany has been great throughout the tournament.
It was an awesome game! Just wish I would see Germany vs France in final Match.
